How to Disable Microsoft Family Safety Windows 10

I went to the first link suggested. We have Windows 10. I'd already removed the child. It says "To remove an adult, including the account you used to sign in with, choose Remove at the top of the adults section."

I do not see an adults section nor "Remove" anywhere. Did the website change and therefore the link is too old to be relevant? I see where I could remove the Home PC but do I really want to do that?

The issue is that the child is removed from Family Safety. His laptop is removed also. He still has an account on my Home PC. Family Safety is still restricting his accounts on both despite the fact I removed him from Family Safety.

Any other suggestions?

There is no "adults' section" as indicated. I found that you have to click on "Add a child" and then you can remove an adult in the next window.

What we ended up doing is adding our child's account again and then adjust the time limits to unlimited.

I am having the same issue.

I made changes to curfew settings, app restrictions et al., but my daughter's laptop never got the message.

Finally, I decided to just remove the child account from Windows Family Safety, thinking that would do the trick, but the laptop didn't get that message either.  She is now stuck with a curfew that we do not want.

I am now attempting to setup a local account, copying her files over, and then I will delete her windows account and see if that solves the problem.

I cannot use google chrome due to family features and I am not part of a "family"  I have no family members registered on my account and every time in install and launch google chrome, it says that I need permission to use it and I select the " aske by email" and it shows an error message to that I cant use google chrome ive been trying this for a long time now and it keeps on sending the same error message   please can you get rid of family features as it is ruining my pc experience and it is reducing my income as an online content creator for youtube due to this error   I paid a lot of money for this software and I expect a lot more from Microsoft than this

I have tried turning off family features and reinstalling google chrome and it is not computing.

I have been using PCs all my life and I don't expect this from Microsoft

please sort this out and I will be grateful for any support given.

I have the same problem.

I removed both my kids from the family as I'm now managing parental controls via a 3rd party app.

But when my kids try and install Chrome (we hate Edge - keeps getting hacked unlike Chrome), they are asked to seek permission from the parent but the error (described in this thread) pops up.

Please help.  With so many people complaining, it's got to be a bug!!

Does MSFT listen to its customers?

if not, this is the last time I buy a Windows machine. I doubt you care though.

I too removed the time restrictions but my son's computer still stuck with limitations.  Over a year later & I don't see postings of anyone having resolution.  Does not bode well for this security.  This 'security' difficulty is the main reason we initially went back to Windows 8.  Just upgraded to 10 again & am regretting this decision again.
